Borouge International is presenting its strengthened global platform and full portfolio of advanced energy polyolefin solutions at wire China 2026 under the theme of “Bringing Energy All Around, Together.”

At the exhibition, Borouge International is highlighting a broad portfolio of advanced material solutions for submarine, land-based, high-voltage direct current (HVDC), extra-high-voltage (EHV) and optical fiber cable applications. These solutions are backed by proven proprietary Borlink™ technology, stringent manufacturing standards and decades of experience supporting critical energy infrastructure worldwide.

Borouge International is strengthening this customer proposition through targeted capacity investments. Earlier this year, the company commissioned its second cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) plant as part of the Borouge 4 project in Ruwais, UAE, adding 100,000 tonnes of annual capacity, and continues to progress plans for a new semiconductive compound facility in Cheonan, South Korea. Together, these projects will enhance supply security, regional responsiveness and support for growing demand in power transmission and energy infrastructure.

Showcasing a Full Portfolio for Future-Ready Energy Infrastructure

Borouge International will showcase its advanced portfolio of cable material solutions for submarine, land and optical fiber applications at wire China 2026, highlighting its role in supporting reliable, high-performance infrastructure for the energy transition.

Featured solutions include Borlink™ LE0650DC, which supports high-voltage direct current cables operating at conductor temperatures of up to 90°C. Used with Borlink™ LS4258DC, it helps cable manufacturers deliver longer cable lengths, reduce joints and strengthen submarine and land-based power projects.

The company will also present Borlink™ LS4201EHV, manufactured under stringent cleanliness standards for reliable XLPE power cable production. Used with Borlink™ LE0500, the material has passed type and prequalification testing under the T/CAS 982-2024 standard for 750 kV XLPE insulated power cables.

Borouge International’s Borlink™ materials have contributed to major renewable energy and power transmission projects in China, including the Qingzhou offshore wind project in Guangdong and the Sanshandao offshore wind power cluster, the world’s first ±500 kV integrated offshore-onshore flexible HVDC project.

The company has also supported China’s first 66 kV aluminum-core offshore wind array cable to complete IEC 63026:2019 system reliability verification, reinforcing its contribution to large-scale offshore wind development.

wire China 2026 is held from September 21 to 24, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Borouge International exhibits at Booth E1F01, presenting its technology-led materials portfolio for the continued advancement of the wire and cable industry.
